Designed and manufactured in 2006 by UTAS, a Turkish firearm manufacturing company, UTS 15 is a pump action shotgun chambered for 12 gauge cartridges. It was originally designed by UTAS to be “the ultimate police shotgun” according to a request made to them by Smith and Wesson. It took almost 6 years for UTAS to finally begin the production of UTS 15. Another specific novelty of UTS 15 is that it comes with receivers made of 100% polymer.  The production began in 2012 and since then it is in service in various law enforcement agencies and in other civil purposes. There are three variants of UTS 15 available in the market – Desert, Marine and Hunting version.

This selecting pattern shotgun weighs 6.9 lb. (3.1 kg) with no ammo. It is 28.3 inches in length (72 cm) with barrels 18.5 inches (47 cm) long. Most pronounced feature of this machine is its double magazine tubes capable of chambering 7 round of ammo in each of them. And there’s a switch just above the tubes that allows you to switch between multiple ammo types. Despite being a very advanced and modernized firearm UTS 15 still has to face some severe criticism and complaints like tube jamming, switch breaking, rust etc.
