Double Star began as a secondary company by Terese and Jesse Starnes. The two already had a previous company at the time, which was called J&T, and generally sold rifle accessories and other parts. However, the two were being requested by numerous customers to begin selling rifles, and so Double Star was created to cater to these requests.

The company’s name was derived from the names of the founders (Double Starnes) and was begun in Winchester, Kentucky. The two owners use only US parts to create the rifles they then began to sell to the public. While Double Star was constantly increasing its customer base, J&T Distributing continued to function as a separate company. The two companies, therefore, became sister companies under the supervision of Terese and Jesse Starnes themselves.

Along with the black rifle parts that J&T used to offer to their customers, the duo used their new company to distribute new products to the public. These include SBRs, Rifles, AR Pistols, 1911, parts and other accessories. Since its foundation, Double Star has grown continuously and is now a well-known supplier of rifles, pistols, and their respective accessories. Double Star and J&T both continue to progress and satisfy their customer’s varied requests.
