Chiappa Firearms was established in 1958 by Ezechiele Chiappa in Brescia, Italy. Ever since then, the company had stayed within the family and has also expanded to the United States, with its American headquarters found in Dayton, Ohio.
These days, the Chiappa Group includes a number of substituent companies, all branches founded by members of the same family. These companies are Costa, which specializes in metal treatment; Kimar, which specializes in blank and small firearms; ACP; and Armi Sport, which specializes in reproductions. Chiappa Firearms, the branch of the group in Ohio, is most popular for its manufacturing, which focuses mostly on expertly reproducing classic and new firearms. The company uses modern technology to reproduce guns that are perfectly detailed and whose parts may be used on the original versions of the firearm.
Chiappa Firearms, which began its success with a single firearm – the Corsair – quickly expanded to include Kentucky rifles and other modern reproductions. The company now caters to a larger audience by offering a wider variety of products in addition to their reproduction models, such as tactical guns, hunting, and traditional and survival firearms. The company currently has its state-of-the-art facilities in its factory in Italy. Its Dayton branch is less extensive and only manufactures specific firearms.
