Black Rain Ordnance was founded in January of 2009. Its specialty lies in precision firearms, tactical rifles, and suppressors. The company’s mission is to create the highest quality products and provide excellent customer service. It has been said that there is a profusion of AR-15 “manufacturers,” but the truth of the matter is, these companies do not really “manufacture.”

Some of the companies outsource their supplies, where parts and accessories are made elsewhere and then assembled at their facilities. That is not the case with the Black Rain Ordnance products, where every single part – from the barrel to the forward assist – is created by BRO. The reason behind this is it is only through this way that the company can be assured to come up with excellent standards on its firearms.

Products it offers include rifles, pistols, receivers, rails, compensators, flash suppressors, NFA silencers, gas blocks, and cleaning products. Pistols offered include the BRO-PG9P and the BRO-PG5P, which are chambered in .226 or 5.56 NATO with a 7.5” stainless steel barrel and a NORGUARD finish.

New York is a state where any semi-automatic firearm with more than one features of an assault rifle is prohibited to be carried by a civilian. BRO has managed to circumvent this by coming up with the “New York compliant” AR-15 and AR-10 rifles that have the same standards with other firearms in their lineup, but with added features that makes it legally possible to own one in New York.
