Tag: Anderson Manufacturing
Now on its 50th year, Anderson Manufacturing is a firearms manufacturing company located in Hebron, Kentucky. Aside from weaponry, the company also provides manufacturing services for the medical and automotive industry.
Anderson’s claim to fame is when they started to manufacture the world’s only no-lube rifle – meaning the rifles they produce do not need lubrication or oiling. This is made possible with nanotechnology, by permanently treating their rifles with RF85. When under pressure or heat, the nano particles elongate and create a protective barrier for the rifle which eliminates the need for oiling.
Conventional AR-15s need oiling to properly function, but with the RF85 treatment, the Anderson rifles are easy to clean by just using soap and water. Aside from nanotechnology, the company also promises 85% less friction and 23% faster action with its rifles.
As opposed to other rifle manufacturing companies, Anderson Manufacturing produces its own rifle parts. The aluminum used in the production of both its upper and lower receivers is made of 7075T6, known as the strongest aluminum in the world.
The company has expanded its facilities with 11 Mazak Horizontal Machining Centers. It has supported the US troops by employing US Veterans, which is composed of 40% of its workforce.
