AAC Advanced Armament Corporation Info
Advanced Armament Corporation, or AAC, is a manufacturer of firearms, ammunition, and sound suppressors. Based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, the company was founded by Kevin Brittingham in 1984. Remington Arms purchased the company in 2009, and it then became part of the Freedom Group. After the said acquisition, Brittingham was fired from the company, together with other employees.
AAC is one of the largest manufacturers of sound suppressors in the US, even gaining small military contracts. It is also known for its innovations in the field of sound suppressor development, using lightweight titanium and interchangeable pistons, and by producing rifle silencers that can be attached right away.
AAC’s impressive line-up includes models that can adapt to every firearm caliber from the .22 LR to the .50 BMG. Among its more famous products are the Prodigy, Element, and Pilot 2 for rimfire models; the Evolution and the Ti-Rant for centerfire pistols; and the M4-2000 for centerfire rifles.
AAC has also helped form the American Silencer Association, a non-profit organization created to pursue the education and legislation of various hunting and military applications for the silencer industry. The AAC also lobbies with the National Rifle Association to educate voters about firearms legislation.
