These lists come with a written guide as well as a checklist. Each starts from the same builder as every other list on this site, then adds notes on what matters most for that trip and why. Open one, mark what’s optional for you, add your own items and print it. If your trip isn’t here, build your own from the home page: pick the terrain, how you’re getting there and roughly how long. We never ask when.
